About the Website
Compassion fatigue is an anxiety disorder that is very similar to that of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is experienced by caregivers of all educational backgrounds including but not limited to psychiatrists, psychologists, trauma care workers, social workers and spouses of those suffering with PTSD. This website breaks down compassion fatigue in relation to both the spouse and the returning warrior. When a warrior is able to get the treatment they need and they can get relief of the symptoms of PTSD they suffer from, this can help allieviate the stress the spouse may also feel. The third page breaks down the treatment for both PTSD and Compassion Fatigue. While both disorders are extremely similar, their treatments differ because of the trauma the individual has experience.
